For your child it is a treasure hunt. They follow reveal cards from stop to stop, finding each one where it is hidden, collecting what they find as they go. For you it is a morning somebody else has already thought through: a run sheet with the route and the timings, and a crib sheet with one thing to say, one fact and one question at every stop. Lex and Fox come along as fellow explorers.
Then go off script whenever you like. Skip a stop. Stay forty minutes at the stream because that is where your child wants to be. The plan is there so the morning never stalls, not so you have to follow it.
Every adventure is walked before it is published. If it says twenty minutes between stops, somebody walked it with a five year old.

- Each adventure is matched to the month it lands in, so you are always outside in the season you are actually standing in.
- Every adventure carries a Quick Route (about an hour) and a Full Expedition (a whole morning). You choose on the day.
- Cancel any time from your account. Adventures you already have stay yours.
BEFORE YOU GO
Ten minutes the night before: print the pages you need, cut the reveal cards, put them in a pocket. That is the whole preparation. In the morning you pick up the clipboard and go.
AND THEN IT COMES HOME
The adventure does not end at the front door. There is a Field Log to fill in, a page to draw what they saw, a certificate to sign and a badge to stick into the season passport. Wet boots by the radiator, a warm afternoon at the kitchen table, and a child telling you what happened as though you had not been standing right next to them.
