Subscription Terms

Last updated: August 2026. These terms cover The Field Guide Year subscription on lexandfoxpress.com. Our general Terms of Service also apply. We have kept them short and written them in plain language. If anything is unclear, message us and we will explain.

What you are buying

A recurring subscription to The Field Guide Year, a digital curriculum delivered as PDF files. Monthly at $9.97 charged every month, or Full Year at $67 charged every twelve months. Prices are in US dollars. Full-year subscribers also receive a 30-page Parent Guide.

What you receive and when

One volume for the calendar month in which you subscribe, available in your account immediately. One further volume on the 1st of each following month, for as long as your subscription is active. Volumes released before you subscribed are not included and are available separately in our Etsy shop.

Renewals

Your subscription renews automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel it. We email you the day before each renewal. You can change or remove your card at any time in your account. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops all future charges. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Volumes you have already received remain available in your account and remain yours to print under your personal-use licence.

Pausing

You can pause your subscription from your account. While paused you are not charged and no new volumes are released. Your access to previously received volumes is not affected. Resuming picks up from the current calendar month. You can resume at any time.

Refunds

Monthly plan: we do not refund a volume once it has been accessed, because each payment covers a volume you have already received.

Full Year plan: if you cancel partway through the year we refund $5.58 for every whole month not yet delivered, which is $67 divided by twelve. You keep the volumes already delivered. So if you cancel after four volumes we refund $44.64.

On either plan we refund a charge in full if you were billed after cancelling, billed twice for the same period, or the file was faulty or undeliverable and we could not put it right. Write to us and we will look at it properly. Nothing here limits any statutory right you have where you live, including the right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days.

Download limits

Each file can be downloaded up to 5 times from up to 3 devices. This is to prevent unauthorised sharing. If you need additional downloads (new device, printer issue), message us and we will reset your limit.

Licence

Personal use. Print as often as you like for your own children or your own single classroom. You may not share, redistribute, resell, or upload the files. Each PDF may be stamped with your email address and order number for security. Contact us for a multi-classroom or school licence.

Price changes

If we change the price we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does. Existing subscribers keep their price for at least twelve months from the day they subscribed. Price changes never apply to your current billing cycle.

If we stop publishing

If we ever have to stop releasing new volumes, we will cancel all active subscriptions, stop billing immediately, refund any period paid for and not delivered, and leave your existing volumes in your account.
